Lilac borer
While the lilac borer is a pest only of ornamental trees, it does respond to the dogwood borer sex pheromone and can be fairly common in traps in June and July. It is much differently colored (dark brown or copper) and larger than the dogwood borer and the two species are easily distinguishable.
