Tufted apple budmoth
Tufted apple budmoth is a more widespread leafroller pest of apple in the Mid-Atlantic region than red-banded leafroller. Two generations of tufted apple budmoth occur in this area, and the period of adult flight activity extends from early May through late September. This moth is easily recognized due to its distinctively pointed anterior end.
